Sophy Tuttle

As a trained illustrator, I have an underlying drive in all of my work to tell a story and create interesting and unique characters. While always exploring new mediums and ways of working, my preferred method of creating work is pen and ink drawing. I find that keeping my materials simple allows me to concentrate on the subject matter and concept of a piece.
I draw much of my inspiration from nature and animals, particularly birds and mythical creatures. My most recent work focuses on using these creatures to explore different stories and emotions. The goal of this work is to evoke different feelings in the viewer based on the theme of the piece. By doing this, I can communicate with a large number of people and better reach out to the world. My ultimate goal with this work and all other work is to be able to create a sensation or feeling that people can share by viewing my art.
