Nayana Glazier

“Nayana Glazier contributes often unsettling and perceptive black and white paintings of pivotal psychological moments in the lives of women and girls. The almost cinematic pay on motion creates an urgent, visceral experience of woman’s collective life.” -Suzanne Corsano Gallery in the Woods Brattleboro VT.
Even though I often feature male figures in my work I believe the description to be accurate. I don't think any artist knows, or has control over how their work will be received by a viewer. I do however hope that my paintings might resonate with those who view them.
I stretch my own canvases and use acrylics as well as some mixed media to produce predominantly cinematic black and white paintings, sometimes with a hint of color.
